Then, unmoved, signals nodded. And the lamp winked at the guard.
    Aye ya yai ya yai.

Quite a bit has happened since I last updated here.

I was pushed into a last minute 1-day business trip last week. Fortunately was able to stretch it to 2 days and have a day of quality time with some friends in the area. The fun day started watching soldiers in a parade, lunch at a fancy cafe and drinks at a cushion bar. We later retired at a mates place and watched Black Books while we drank some more and moved on to another residence where we had pizza and watched BroTown. My friends really looked after me (and even picked me up from the airport and gave me a lift to work the next day).

The work itself was fairly pointless but I sit here feeling like I had a really long weekend and feel better for it.

The birthday thing I wrote about earlier bugged me to the point where I rang my friend up to apologise. She laughed about it and we will hopefully catch up some time soon. Turns out that she only recently changed jobs and now works only a couple of suburbs away from me.

Should have, would have, could have, didn't.
    Bugger!

I realised earlier this week that I completely missed a dear friend's birthday. I pride myself on remembering numbers and am usually quite good at it and getting a message from this person on my birthday a few months ago really made my day. Not only did I miss the birthday, but missed it by near a month so it's too late to give a belated birthday. Words cannot express how disappointed I am with myself for forgetting it.

To compound things, I nearly missed my mothers birthday today. My only saving grace was a family member reminding me before it was too late.

My Head is a Box Filled With Nothing
    Very uneventful week for me.

Was sucked in big time on a pearler of April fools jokes. Went to a mates birthday last weekend (It was alright, but not much to report) and did very little at work, but made it look like I did lots.

The only meaningful update I have is something I forget to mention last week. After dinner one night when we were in Melbourne, our trainer took us GeoCaching. I'd never heard of the term before, but its basically walking around with a handheld GPS to a predetermined coordinate and finding a hidden treasure, then returning it. You can add things to the treasure and even remove things if you want. It's quite an amazing community they have there. Whilst I can't see myself joining, I did gain an appreciation for it and am glad I had my small stint finding things.

    Hey Hey!

Spent a few days out of town on a business trip this week. I seldom take business trips and welcomed the change. It also gave me some understanding on why people who take regular business trips don't like them.

The Hotel was nice and exceeded my meager expectations, yet I found it difficult to sleep. Maybe it was the city lights outside my window, maybe it was myself being a sucker for my own bed, either way, it took it's toll on me.

One thing I really wanted to do was meet up with some former workmates whom had relocated. I was tempted to call in advance, however, refrained as I wasn't sure if I would have time to see them. Due to a canceled meeting, I had managed to squeeze a free 2 hours, called them up and made the most of it. It proved to be the only 2 hours that I was free to do what I wanted and enjoy myself, with the rest of my trip consume with training, meetings and corporate dinners. I'd love to go back there and make a genuine holiday there, time will tell.

At least I'm back. I went to a mates 30th birthday party last night. It was good to catch up with some old school friends and served as one of several reminders that I am getting old. Oh well, I always view a weekend where I do something a success.

Hello Cruel World, I'm Taking Over Now!
    Hello Everybody,

So little to tell and so much time to tell you. Scrap that! reverse it!

I am not a fan of the big update and will update this when I have something relevant to say, but for now, I'll answer the question "Why Am I here?"

I turned 30 a little over a month ago, The day before, I decided that I would start a journal on my 30th Birthday to open a new chapter of my life. That night, I went out to dinner with some friends and became totally inebriated and hardly went out of bed, let alone do any thinking. I happened to look through my this morning and found a journal on this site that I had almost forgot about and decided to register. Better late then never, aye?

I will not advertise this journal, but don't mind people reading it either. Hopefully thin can help the readwe and writer understand things.
